ΕΠΙΛΟΓΟΣ

Ω καρδιά!

Ποτέ δεν συμβάδισες με

του κόσμου τον πηγαιμό.

Νύχτες και νύχτες κρυφά

ξεπόρτιζες απ’ το κορμί.

Κρυφοχτυπόντας

πέρναγες έρποντας στα σύννεφα

απ’ τη σκοπιά της Γης.

Ξελογιασμένη

με τους ήλιους της νύχτας

γύριζες και ξενυχτούσες.

Απ’ το πικρόλογο, θεόγυμνο

τραγούδι των θνητών

ξέφευγες θαρρούσες.

you never walked in step

Beating quietly

you crept over the clouds

past the Earth’s lookout.
